macro help for warrior
Ok i have been wondering if there is a way to prioritize attacks in a macro depending on the state of the combo. for example:
Heavy Swing>Skull sunder>Butchers Block all in one button press WITHOUT the use of /wait.
The closest iv gotten to 1 button press was:
/ac Heavy swing
/hotbar action "Skull Sunder" 1 2 <wait.4>
/hotbar action "Butcher' Block" 1 2
I still ended up having to use /wait to get it to properly work. again i am hoping that certain skills will be used depending on the state of the combo. Can someone please help me out with this?

Unless your keyboard allows for macros, no. The in game macro creator doesn't have enough freedom to make such a thing. Macros don't queue actions, it'll attempt to use them all at once
-
I wouldn't suggest doing macro's at all in this game (unless it's an off GCD item). effectiveness goes down the drain when you try to macro combo skills like that.

Use hotbar copy.
#1 Make these two macros:
/ac "Heavy Swing" <t>
/ac "Heavy Swing" <t>
/hotbar copy mrd 8 War 1
/macroicon "Heavy Swing"
/ac Maim <t>
/ac Maim <t>
/hotbar copy mrd 7 war 1
/macroicon Maim
#2 Copy the hotbar you want onto your marauder for the skull sunder/BB combo in slot 8. This will be your default hotbar. Mine looks like this.

#3 Copy the hotbar to mrd 7 with storms combo replacing the ss/bb skills. (Maim should be on both hotbars.)
Mine looks like this.

Results: When you use maim, it will replace skull sunder/butchers block with storms eye and storms path. Using heavy swing will bring back your enmity combo. Use Non-macro skills for the others as need.
Maybe that will help. If you are on ps3/4 use /chotbar copy instead of hotbar. :3
Although this WILL not make you press less buttons, it will save you some hotbar space! :D <3

Update it a little with pictures. xD

Do yourself and everyone you play with a huge favor and don't use tank macros for anything aside from party chat announcements of fight specific things to increase party awareness, such as weather changes in Bismark ex or reminding the other tank of a tank swap. I seriously cringed seeing the pictures of the setup in the previous post.
-
Why. Tell me the functionality I lost. I didn't chain a single macro. No wait command. I weave in abilities just fine. You can't use storm's eye or storms path without first using maim. You honestly can't mess this setup up. If you're talking about my other skills, I like to put <t> only on my buffs and focus on skills like holmgang/Brutal.

Apparently you don't know why macros are bad.
-
No. Please enlighten me. The only bad thing I've seen come from macros are the wait command macros, since you can lose almost a whole second waiting for the chain to go off.

You can't queue a skill if it's in a macro, which is going to cause your dps to be lower than if your skills were not in a macro, and in the specific case for war, will very highly likely make you unable to fit in 9 hits during berserk. I tried this out with only having one macro that combines inner beast and fell cleave into one button (seemed convenient so I gave it a shot), and the delay caused by that alone made it nearly impossible to do a 9 hit berserk on a test dummy, so you could forget that ever happening in actual content.
