Fairies and Spell Speed

Using some i160/other Caster accessories with spell speed on my scholar, I was unable to find a difference, using or not using the jewels. (Wearing nothing else but jewels)

This leads me to believe that SS does not help fairies like it does DoTs/hots, but it might not have scaled since I was mostly naked. I know egi got buffed by having all attacks register as if from behind and something else with spell speed. My question is, did fairies get a bonus with spell speed?

I'm pretty sure this is on the accepted bugs list
