700 GP Scrip Rotations

I have searched for them, but can't seem to find them anywhere, so i figured I would start a discussion thread about it while I began tinkering with the idea of creating some.

663 gathering and Perception
662 GP (700 with food)

I'm looking for a way to push the envelope and gather 4 turn ins for blue scrips and/or 3 turn ins for red scrips guaranteed (adamantite/chyshal)

I haven't really been eating food, and have just been coasting on 2x 516's per node for the last month, and I should probably stop being lazy. I will let you know if I come up with anything!

unfortunately i doubt there is any rotation that can guarantee you 3 gathers (or 4 for blue scrips) with 700GP. The only thing you can use those extra 100 GP for is Utmost Caution but a single Utmost Caution is useless except for Instinctual Appraisal which involves RNG again...

There may be something I have not considered, but I cannot think of any realistic way to use the extra 50 (or 100 if you were not using the 5% gathering ability) for any real gain.

The 5% gathering ability covers the 95% to 100% gap quite nicely. The only abilities that affect Collecting, that cost 100 GP or less, are Last Ditch (50 GP), Utmost Caution (100 GP), Clear Vision (50 GP), Sharp Vision (50 GP), Sharp Vision 2 (100 GP), and the Botany equivalents. Of those, three (Clear Vision, Sharp Vision, sharp Vision 2) add to your chance of successfully Gathering the Collectible, and Clear Vision is for one swing only at that.


The only possible real boost for having 700 GP I can think of is using Utmost Caution on an Instinctual Appraisal, replacing the Methodical Appraisal that takes place in some rotations. That adds an element of risk, but may potentially let you gather items one tier higher.

Given the costs of abilities, I think the best use for 700 GP may be dropping one of the Discerning Eye or Single Mind casts in a rotation, and using Deep Breath somehow. But I cannot think of any way to use Deep Breath in any serious rotation.

Personally, I suspect the next real Collecting breakpoint is going to be 800/850 GP. That's the point where a current rotation can have another Single Mind thrown in, for another item gathered.

3 guaranteed red script collectables is not possible as far as I can count GP. I have perception 657 and gathering 643 on miner and it requires Discerning Eye on all appraisals to reach the minimum or second level on collectability. But this method though is aiming for proc on Impulsive Appraisal to get more than 2 as I'd have a chance to save GP for Single Mind instead.

I don't know at what point the 100% gathering rate comes with Adamantite Ore with just gathering itself, but 650 GP would allow you to fill in the missing 5% gathering rate with Sharp Vision.

If adamantite ore is similar to old darksteel ore in respect to being its equivalent at 60, the only way to get 100% gather chance on adamantite (without using sharp vision) would be to be level 65. Fairly certain the highest base chance of any starred gathering node from an unspoiled at level is 95% gather and 15% hq

Also, thank you for the imput, the extra gp was mainly for fishing with patience 2, but I was hoping to find some awesome super special gathering rotation as well. I attempted to use Kings Yield to see if it was possible to gain multiple collectibles in a single attempt. It is not. I was sad.

There are no 700 GP rotation for scrips, thats why you were unable to find any. 700 GP does allow you to gain + 15% hit instead of 5% however, which is very useful for folklore nodes.

I have a question related to this matter. Is there any point getting more than 600 gp if you know you are never getting 700 gp? I would assume that getting 700 gp means you have to sacrifice a lot of perception and gathering for that, is it even worth it?

Yes, 650 allows you to get 100% on nodes such as ephemeral and adamantite. Having 650 is advised if you can afford the melding. 700GP doesnt mean sacrificing other stats tho, as the only items where you can truly choose are the main and off hand tools. But it does require rather..complete melding. (and use of food)

In short: there's really no point in going over 650 GP for the moment.

Considering the absolute max @ 50 cap was 690 something and the max you could do now is 728 with food that might be a long ways off.
