Which to try next SMN or NIN?

I am wanting to pick up another class besides drg at the moment. The two choices I have been debating between are summoner or ninja. Eventually I will level both classes, but for now I would like to just focus on one. I am slightly aware of some of the issues facing both classes like ninja having a bit of tp issues etc. But what are your guys opinions on each class? And what are their current status in endgame?

Both are perfectly viable in end game (savage) and often used by the cutting edge progression groups. Just level what you like, I'd probably do smn first because it's a nice change of pace if you're coming from a melee dps.

Depends... do you like caster or melee more? Since it looks like you have DRG leveled, try something completely different instead, so SMN.

But yeah, both are fine for endgame right now, so do whichever you think you'll have more fun with.

I often encourage players to try different roles.
Especially dps players.

since you already have a DRG (melee dps) why not try being a caster? The good thing about SMN is that it shares levels with SCH, so you if you ever feel like trying your hand at healing at one point then is should not be too difficult as long as you level up a CNJ to 15.
