If there was a Learning setting in duty finder

I was curious, if there was a learning setting to the duty finder, similar to the undersized party or minimum IL, would you have used it your 1st time into an instance? Or would you still prefer to watch a video/read strategies and run it with people who have already burned through it.
I can say that if there was such a setting I would have checked it every time I progressed the story, as I am never in a rush to do content and enjoy playing with people who feel the same. From the other perspective, I would not be burdening people who play differently and would like to just be done and move on to the next task of the day. Perhaps both styles of play should be made available.

Most people from the community won't use it. A simple example is the cutscenes in the msq/class quests. People skip it and there are instructions on how/what to do with it new skills.

I am not saying it is a bad idea. It would be a good implementation for the minoty in the community.

I'd use this for Primals. I watch videos beforehand, but I get terrible anxiety before doing a dungeon/trial etc the first time. I worry I'll screw up and annoy people. The first time I tried Garuda Ex I messed up and died, one of the healers said I 'needed to go and watch a goddamn video before wasting people's time'. I had watched the video, several times, but I learn far better doing than by watching.

I find this is quite common, and have experienced it myself. I can watch as many videos as I want, its not until I'm there, controller in my sweaty hand that I get a feel for the fight. It has kept me out of a lot of content, as I tend to only run things with friends my 1st time around. I'm mostly a crafter/gatherer, and move the story along primarily to unlock content for those classes. I can go weeks without touching my DoW/DoM, so I'm also pretty rusty when it comes time to drag them into new content.

I would assume that the 'training room' they plan to add will make this setting redundant and the limited number of players who would use it regularly would probably just lead to un-needed queue time issues as well.

Not saying its a bad idea just that it seems like it wouldn't be very feasible in the long term and that the training room thing probably covers most of the bases short of running full dungeons.

I stiil prefer playing through duty finder at my stage in the game, minus the learning setting. (nowhere near endgame yet) The first time I did Ifrit I mentioned it being completely new to the Trial. I remember not seeing the nail because silly me didn't zoom the camera out far enough and kept right on attacking Ifrit. Moments later the whole party wiped. I had no idea why until someone simply told me to attack the protruding nail, with no reprimand. We went for the second attempt and obliterated Ifrit in minutes.

To be frank, if I wanted to learn a particular run before attempting with Duty Finder (or skipping DF altogether), I would make a party finder for said Dungeon/Trial and mention that it's a learning/training run. I agree that sometimes you can watch a video until you're red in the eyes, but once you get in the dungeon nervousness takes over and you forget everything you watched and wind up struggling due to fear. Now that's a problem that only actual experience can overcome, imo. Some people learn best by doing. That's how it's always been for me, both when it comes to games and real life even.
