Hello,

I just wanted to know why Celestial Opposition can't be used to change Astro stance during fight.
it wasn't meant to be like this?

I think this would give more interest in this skill, especially with such a name which implies an opposition (the opposite stance).

I don't think it would have been OP, but something really unique and with more complexity.
The only change they need to do with this idea is the fact that we can't stack our own stances between them, but only with another astrologian. It will avoid abuse with shield+regen effect during stance change.

I don't think I'd want a stance-changing skill tied to another mechanic (the stun + buff extension). Granted, neither of those effects are earth-shattering, but it would be a shame not to be able to utilize them at times that you really don't want to swap your stance.

But it's precisely what would have been the complexity of the job, know when to change and use the skill.

The problem is that you might not need or want to change your Sect (e.g. if you are paired with a SCH, you probably don't want to stray from Diurnal). That turns the skill into a noob trap since you would presumably be stuck in your new stance until using CO again.

I would like it to give us a "buff" that lasts some seconds and allow us to switch stances during battle for its duration.
Or maybe...debuff enemies in the AOE, or add a healing effect to it, or a regen(if in diurnal) and a strong barrier(if in nocturnal) or reset Draw's CD or add a "buff" that will reduce Draw's recast timer by X seconds for its duration, or reset the current cards durations i don't know, something truly reliable.
I just seriously hate the fact that my lv 60 skill, my "ultimate skill", is an aoe stun with a 5 second addition to my buffs when almost all jobs got some amazing 60 skills (Dissipation is an exception sadly) ¬¬ 5 seconds won't give us THAT significant help.

BUT i'm pretty sure SE is not finished with AST yet, AND i'm cool with how AST works now, it feels way, WAY better compared to 3.0-3.5 AST.

I still hope CO will be changed somehow though >_> <_<

Why is everyone so obsessed with the ability to switch stances during combat? I don't see what this nets anyone, and it just seems like complications for complications sake.

Yeah, it's pointless and I don't WANT the ability to.

At most maybe you could do something like a cd that puts you in BOTH stances and applies the shield and regen...but even then that's only useful if your partner is a whm or you're doing dungeons. Ast or sch partner and you're just stepping on their toes.

I want them to change Noct sect into an emergency skill that grant shield to healing skill for 10s-15s . It will make it more usefull than stance change

Like it was said long time ago, stance dancing will work only with WHM partner. It won't work if you are paired with AST or SCH, so there's not a lot of need for it.
Stance dancing would be very fun in 4-man dungeons though.

I'd rather see CO have something more than just 5sec extra buffs, its a level 60 ability after all.

It'll only work if the shields stack (which may never happen). Even with the current buffs that AST got in the most recent patch.. I still rarely ever run Noct unless we needed the 5% extra healing in the group or there's another AST..
