I don't know what class I want to be! :(

I Started as THU, and I'm level 10.

Linked mobs my level leave me hurting even with sacrifice at the start.

So I was all hey maybe I need to play a new class, herp derp, and got ARC to about 8, but now I'm wondering if I want to play as this class. (Linked mobs leave me hurting as well) I also see a lot of ARC around...

:(

To be honest I want to try LNC to see if it's fun.... Ugh

Indecisiveness is killing me, and I don't want to invest too much time into one character because I'll re-roll if I change class.

Overall... qq whine whine qq

Is Lancer fun? Do they get multiple abilities that do damage?

As a THU I Don't want to use slow or gravity, because everything has ranged attacks, ect. It's basically scourge and banish(rinse repeat)


Sorry to complain,(about my own indecisiveness apparently) I know it's too early to judge at such a low level, but I Wanna make sure I pick one that will be fun.

Try them all. Why would you reroll for switching classes?

Yea just try them all, you will get a lot of useful abilities that way too.

That's the beauty of Final Fantasy MMO's.
You're not restricted to one job.

Don't reroll to change class. If you can find a starting weapon from a vendor (Weathered Spear), you can keep your Thaumaturge progress and most of their abilities as a lancer.

Archers are popular for a reason, but are the squishiest DoW's.

On THM there will be a lot lot more to do than nuke as you rank up. If you want to be a mage and not be on healing/buffing duty, this is your best bet currently.

IMHO Lancers have some really awesome looking moves, the ones I always pause and "oooh" at. xD I haven't played one but I regularly party with a couple and they are pretty awesome.

But if you want to be more "durable", I'd suggest trying Pugilist or Marauder (which can also tank).

As the others have said though, you can just try them all, and pick up some useful abilities in the process! Good luck! :)

See, I figured I could do that but decided against it because I Could've sworn I read somewhere that your stats get get kinda screwy if you play different classes that dont prioritize the same stats. Like playing a CNJ, then an ARC or something. :/

It used to be true but not anymore, all classes have their own stats now.

I have the same problem. I finally managed to get LNC to 50, but I have all the DoW/DoM classes at like 25+ for exactly that reason.
