DX 9 and DX 11 Question
Hi everyone I have been playing the game for about a month now and I have been playing with the DX 9 client and today I decided to try out the new DX 11.
I typically play on max settings give or take a few customized settings on DX 9 and usually run the game pretty well averaging about 90-100fps except in large cities. When I tried DX 11 I noticed an fps drop of about 20-30 In all areas and I was wondering if this is normal or if there's something I can look into.
I run with a GTX 770 and an i-3750k with 8gb or ram Windows 10 and all drivers are fully up to date.
Its strange because I play much more graphically intensive games with much better performance on DX 11 i.e BF4, Crysis, Witcher etc.

If you set the graphical performance to maximum (which means, including all DX11 graphic enhancements), you won't gain any FPS. It depends on the developer how much graphical enhancements they've implemented that determines your overall FPS.
In DX11, if you look carefully, the ground has tessellation, which decreases FPS slightly.
I'm not sure what you're settings are right now though, but since I've limit my FPS to 60, I can't tell whether I've gained or dropped in terms of performance under DX11.

I ran the benchmark both on DirectX 9 & 11 on maximum and my DX9 score came to 11000 and my DX11 came to around 7000, it just seems like there is a huge disparity between fps not sure if its normal.

Plainly put, using built in settings to compare dx9 and dx11, you get more performance on dx9. Just check your fps uncapped before character selection for both, on standard desktop settings. I can only hope dx11 is more quality.
