For fishing in the future... Boats?

So, I know this is probably way early, and we're not near a water-themed expansion (yet), but I was wondering...

What would the chances be of us being able to craft, or otherwise rent a rowboat, or a motorboat, maybe... to go fishing in? Could make for some fun out on the water...

And who knows... expand the boat aspect into boat races? For Golden Saucer maybe?

Just a thought...

Boats in general for idling in the middle of a lake without be nice. Sometimes I just like sitting in pretty, relaxing areas, and the middle of a lake would be fun.

I'm honestly not sure how viable it would be, though.

This would be awesome...they could have your craft your own boat and then you would have to find "spots" out in the ocean or other Lakes to catch special fish and then you could permanently have those marked on your log. This could be really nice for fishers that really are in to fishing and love to spend lots of time doing it...this could make it very time intensive for them like the RELIC. I would get into this.

I'm still waiting on non-combat based instance content on the Duty Finder I suggested around launch...

Something similar to Chocobo Racing perhaps, like a Fishing Competition; Four Fishers queue up, instance is out on a boat sailing wherever (see 1.0s Limsa <> Thanalan boat ride, or all Airship/Boat rides in FFXI), you get points for the number of Fish caught, as well as size and variety.

The boat to Nashmau from Whitegate was incredible as well, with the giant Nyzul (Alexander) in the distance.
