Grand Company problem

good day All,

Last night I found myself in Ul'dah with some extra seals. When I tried to use them the NPC told me that I seem to be affiliated with a different Grand Company and would not go any further. My profile shows my as a Flame Corporal in the Immortal Flames so I don't understand what's going on. Any thoughts?

Which NPC did you talk to, precisely? Can you provide a screenshot?

Which NPC were you talking to? The Flame Quartermaster and Personnel Officer are interested in your own GC affiliation, but there are also NPCs there who work with the OIC, Order of Independent Companies (essentially the GC's liaisons with FC's). Those ones will only deal with you if your FC is associated with their GC, regardless of which GC you're a member of personally.

If you're talking about your avatar character, Elyani, and Lodestone is accurate, it looks like you're in Life of the Party which is Allied with the Maelstrom.

So, you'd spend GC Seals with the Flame Quartermaster in Ul'dah, but (FC) Company Credits with the OIC Quartermaster in Limsa Lominsa.
