Actually this post was made in fun.

Edit: Also completely ordinary market forces isn't multiple items being up for 400k and someone decides to mass produce and place them up for 35k.

Mostly an artifact of FFXIV markets being so tiny. Cross server marketboards or some (probably mythical) way to increase market participation would help with this sort of thing.
