Dragoon here, WTF do I do?

Especially in the larger PVP match numbers. I have no idea what to do when fighting other than Spineshatter+LB, if it's possible. And even then they tend to just move out of the way.

I don't seem to have as good burst damage as others, I don't have range, nor do I have tankablity or good escapes. Yes I'm pretty new to PVP but trying to get better. But no guides. So what the hell do I do as a DRG other than continue giving good examples for "LOLDRG"?

DRG have solid burst, actually.

The trick to playing large-scale PvP as a melee is to hit-and-run. Take a few hits, run out before it gets bad. Repeat. Your goal is to either finish kills for enemies already at lowered health, interrupt casters, or pressure enemies that have other allies already hitting them. All without dying.

That's the life of a melee in Frontlines.

My advice to you is: don't overextend yourself. Leap into the fray (possibly literally), do what you can, and get out before you die. Most of your time should be spent heading to and retreating from tactical hits. Do your damnedest to never die unless you secure at least 1 kill in the process. Ultimately, it's more beneficial to stay alive and try again than to push to the last of your life.

Also, for quick escapes, Elusive Jump is your friend and can really help put some distance between you and the fray in a pinch.

Really? What's the combo or rotation for it. Cause popping all my jumps+Pvp skills doesn't seem to do much

I've been getting some good results with [Prep time B4B+Internal Release+Battle Litany+Fetter Ward]>DFD>Leg Sweep>Impulse Rush> Heavy Thrust>Botd>SSD>Impulse Drive>Geirskogul>Power Surge+Jump+Piercing Talon

This assumes they will start running away when you jump on them. If they start running in circles when you jump on them start your regular rotation after Impulse Rush.

Be prepared to Purify/Elusive Jump out of there is it gets too spicy.

I play NIN, so I cant be completely solid on tips. But when I pvp I often use my range attack, which I believe DRG also has one. So you want to throw those out as often as possible but maintain a good balance on your TP. Once someone over reach, try and CC them down so your team and you can attempt to kill them. Now for NIN, our "jump" provides a stun, while I'm not sure how it is with DRG, I know it helps closing gaps on enemies. If have a good read on your dmg output with your burst, you should jump on casters/healers at around 60% hp and burst down. If your LB is up, you can most of the time, just drop a few range attacks, jump, stun, and LB (Literally one of the dumbest things in pvp but meh, use what you got)

Ill be honest, Im so jealous of DRGs immunity from CC with one of your abilities lol...

for me, the trick isnt to be a huge attention factor, that's the tanks job. our job as melee is to peel back for the healers and drop death on people who thinks they can survive anything when they over reach. Once the battle curves towards your team, and the enemy starts running, save your stun and jumps to catch the slow ones left behind. Dont always go after the target your team is on, be smart and target switch so after your team kills the first enemy running away then they can immediately help you.

Don't be shy of popping most of your offensive cooldowns + fetter ward (maybe some defensive CDs depending on the situation) before jumping into your enemies head. Then Heavy Thrust + Impulse Rush. Afterwards, most of the times a Jump combo (all jumps one after another) + Geirskogul is enough to kill a squishier target (ranged dps). Learn to use your oGCD pvp abilities (Impulse Rush + Skewer) to keep the pressure going, as they are very fast and can be put in between your attacks without any hassle.

Remember that PVP burst is not the same as PVE burst: on one hand, it's much harder to pull off Impulse Drive combo to ensure max dps and most of the times even the Thrust combo is hard because of movement, but if you buff yourself up the jumps are DEADLY and can act as a combo of sorts.

Always take a quick look on the target's buffs and debuffs to make sure you can actually kill what you are trying to kill. Make sure your target isn't too well defended and be aware of your enemies' and allies' movement. You have to make sure you always have somewhere to run after your attack.

Situational awareness is key for melee dps in pvp. I usually get at least battle high as a DRG, and can actually be a death machine (10+ kills without dying) if there are good healers at my side (they don't even have to be great: if they heal you when you run back to your team that's usually enough).

In addition to what the people above have stated:

1) Maximize the use of your PVP skills. If you are pushing into a large group, pop sprint + enliven + fetter ward. Skewer helps negate casters, and make sure to weapon throw people sprinting away (esp if they are on their own). I find macroing recouperate and second wind to be helpful as well.
2) Use those skills that you throw away during PVE. Feint is wonderful on healers/casters, keen flurry helps prolong the timeframe in which you can get heals if focus targeted. Always be ready to elusive jump back to your group when you naturally overextend (... i feel like a cat chasing the red dot when i see a healer with low health...)
3) Be careful with B4B usage. Sure it's great for small burst... but if you are B4B'd against a premade... you WILL be focus targeted and killed.
4) Maximize the use of your off cooldown actions. Geirskogul, jumps, mercy stroke, etc. help secure last hits, and get you battle high/fever, which then allows you to do more damage, fill your gauge faster, and ultimately rack up more kills.

If all else fails, try to join or create a PvP/GC linkshell on your server.
