I'm just sick.
I look through the housing wards every time I'm in town. I happened to see a small plot available in Mist just now, and eagerly searched for it, so that I could go there and buy it. I wanted it for the FC, but I didn't have buying privs. My daughter was logging in to fix that, and someone came and bought the plot right in front of me. I'm just... wow...
I don't even want to play now.
I'm fairly new to FF, and really love the game but for this one major stain that housing is. Housing is a gate that's locked for a lot of players, yet these players are paying the same amount for a sub every month as the players that are lucky enough to have access to housing. It's disgusting SE, it really is.
That all being said, I want to be completely prepared the next time I see a plot available. Can someone tell me EXACTLY how it works to buy a plot for the FC?
When you click on the placard, are there two buttons to purchase--one for personal and one for FC?
Does the gil need to be in the FC chest or on my character?
If I ever have the chance again, I don't want to screw it up.

You need to have the buying privilege in your fc to buy a fc house I don't know if it's only the fc leader who has this.
Yes you need to have the Gil on you no exception.
Your fc needs to be of high enough rank to buy.
Yes there's a choice of to make it a fc or personal house. I'm pretty sure there's a confirmation window.
Don't hold your breath for a house their not adding more servers for it at the moment because yes money is a good reason not to do this but they are adding a decay feature in that will be freeing up all the unsubbed a holes who have no reason to have a house no matter how long and hard it took them to get it.
Side note biggest thing coming for fc content is the sky island exploration that you do not need a fc air ship to get access to you'll be able to use the air ship landing in Ishgaurd. -
