Camera issues

Howdy! I bought this game when it came out but only played it for a short while, now that i came back i'm running into a problem with my camera. Whenever i enter a new zone the camera lowers itself... a lot, like all the way to the floor, almost as if i were trying to sneak a peek at my own panties. Also, when i mount a chocobo porter the camera does the same, so i end up looking at the chocobo's butt. It might sound like a minor problem because it takes me less than a second to move the camera with my mouse, but since it's something that happens very often it gets extremely annoying, quite fast. I don't know if it has something to do with my character being a Lalafell or if something is wrong with my settings.

I can't look up the exact steps right now, but somewhere in character settings there should be an option for locking camera position or something like that

Under the System Menu, Character Configuration, Control Settings, and the bottom half of that involves camera control and movement. I am not sure which option exactly is causing your issue. I have the X- and Y-axis auto-adjustment turned off and never get that issue. But, maybe it's another setting? Not sure.

Thank you both, but i just found the solution to my problem. My camera settings were normal since i haven't messed with them. The problem here was that there's a key-shortcut to saving the current position of your camera. I honestly don't know why or when i used this shortcut but it's Ctrl+End and i must have used it when my camera was too close to my butt, and that's why it kept going to that saved position whenever i mounted a porter or entered a zone. So i used Ctrl+leftshift+End to return it to the default position. I hope this helps someone else that runs into this same problem.
