Error when paying for sub

My sister is trying to get in today, but for some reason it says that there is no service. She was for sure she payed for it. She added a sub when it was 3 days left of the free 30 days, but now that is over, she can't get in. She tried paying for again and it said the payment was completed, but then gets an error. I don't know what kind of error, as I didn't get to read it.

She used the same gift card to pay for a gold plan for EB and that worked fine. We both paid for a gold plan on Sunday. She thought she paid for a sub the Satuday before. I did same thing with another card. Though I paid for my sub when the 30 days was up, on the 15th.

Anybody know what's going on? Please answer as soon as possible!

I find it stupid that you can't even pay for sub when the free 30 days hasn't expired yet.

edit: Tried it again myself, but on the laptop and I got this error: ERROR (-24202)
She needs to be able to play before Friday which when the EB is.

edit2: Actually still having trouble!! She gets error 406! Someone really needs to help us on this!

Can anyone help with this? Please! She really wants to play, but can't! >.< And I want to get Ironworks gear with the silver feathers, but can't because I have to wait on her to get her feathers and I'm tired of waiting. And we would most likely have to reschedule the EB! This is beyond frustrating!

Sorry if this sounds obvious, but is she sure she's logged in with the correct Square Enix ID? Also does she perhaps have more than one service account registered to the same Square Enix ID and she might need to change it in to the other one which actually has the game activated on it (it can happen if say converting a trial to a full game, but instead of converting the trial the game is added as a new service account/new characters).

If you haven't already I'd recommend contacting Square Enix directly though. These forums are really only for customers to help other customers, but with things like billing/account issues you can only really get help from SE directly.

Yes of course she is logged into the right service account. She only has 1 Square Enix ID. I only have 1 and everything worked just fine with me.

We have contacted SE through email already and they just said she'd have to wait 24 hrs, which I thought is what we did, but it still didn't work with a brand new gift card. I don't know how we're supposed to know when the 24hrs even passed. She first got an email around 3:30am yesterday saying the payment was cancelled so we thought we'd go by that if 24hrs passed or not, but nope, didn't work.

We just have no idea what to do. And really I'm not sure how much help SE can even be. They can't even tell you why a card was rejected in the first place.

Each time a payment instrument fails they put a lock on the account....something like 24 hours. Forget if they stack or reset with each failed attempt. Either way...you should probably stop trying if your goal is to make it by Friday.

You might want to give the Crystal option a shot...it has been a bit more forgiving in the past.

Yeah, we've stopped trying, but now we have no idea how many days we'd have to wait. :/ We've probably tried more than 6 times...

Can we use the same gift card to add Crysta? Should we even risk doing it with Crysta? What if it fails?

Crysta may still be processed through the same company by default...but you can opt to go through PayPal instead. So if you can link the card through PayPal, it should go through even if Global Collect is monkeyed up from the direct processing attempts.

In the past it was a sort of workaround to the screwy j-secure and Click-n-Buy problems we had in XI. Hopefully it will still work now as it did then.

You may want to read everything there is to read on her account. Try not to rush it.

Okay we got it. She is subbed now! Thank you to anyone who helped even in a small way! :D She just used the gift card to directly buy Crysta and it worked!
