Something Productive to do while Leveling my 2nd Job?

Hi! I just got my first character to Lancer lv 30 and only just found out I have to get a Marauder to lv 15 to become a Dragoon (whyyyyyyyyy).

So I was wondering if there's anything particularly productive I could do with my low-level time that might carry over some rewards to higher-level so I'm not JUST grinding vanilla exp. Efficiency!

Hm, there honestly isn't much you can do that would yield a reward to your higher level job from leveling a lower level one (other than the actual leveling itself and getting access to cross class abilities). Just use FATEs, Hunting Log, and Levequests to get Marauder to 15. Also, if you haven't, you should try to get Pugilist to whatever level Internal Release is (it's sub-15 at least, shouldn't be too hard) so you can Cross Class it onto your Dragoon.

Though, I suppose something you can consider productive (and what I did for leveling DPS classes) is to just DF dungeons for leveling once you hit 15 and go level a crafter or gatherer. But that's only really something I did when leveling my DPS classes after I had finished the Main Scenario Questline.

well, it's worth it in itself as it gives you crossclass skills. And with the armory bonus, 15 levels should go by pretty quick.

15 levels should be quick. It is essentially the LV.1-10 hunting log, 5 FATEs, 2 guildhests, and half the 11-20 hunting log.

You can also use it to clear any quests you haven't finished in the other towns/areas. Some of them are actually needed for later content.
