Custom HUD setups

I'm full aware that you can amend the HUD but I would like to know who else would find having the ability to create different HUD sets useful.

As an example, as a WHM, I don't need to see things such as the map when in a dungeon. I do however use it when in the world map.

Going into the HUD settings at the start of every dungeon to remove this is just unrealistic, it would be far easier if I could create custom HUD sets that I could switch freely between using the hotbar.

Am I the only one who feels this way

I'd love to have this, in my case, to move the party list between healing and damage roles. For a workaround in your case though, take a look if there is a keybind to toggling the particular elements you want hidden or not. You could also make macro that toggles the visibility of various hud elements. Sadly the moving of them is not as easy matter.

The command you're looking for is /hud in category "Other".

I would love to be able to save a ui layout/job. yes yes yes please.

I think the ui needs a lot of work though, I really hope one day they add many more options.

Ability to break up a bar and move individual buttons, more bars!....ability to break up the pt UI and all aspects within it as well, break buff and debuff into 2 bars, ability to track and untrack any buff or debuff etc....

There is very little customization atm

FWIW, I use a macro button to toggle HUD elements. Basically a simple "raid mode" that removes a ton of clutter... but others have done much more elaborate setups.

Now if you mean moving windows around it won't do that, but if you simply want to hide certain things some of the time, the existing system works well for that.

I use macros for it all myself at the moment but it would be a lot better if I had the ability to move them around too. Hence the point.

Maybe if we shout loud enough they'll finally hear us. There must be loads of people out there who have wished for it and others that would utilise it even if they hadn't thought about it before

Sadly, my view is more pessimistic... it will probably get filed under "mod support" which... over 2 years now and they still haven't delivered on their promise to add it. Good luck, all the same.
