light farming in the expansion?

do you still get light while not level sync, and do you need your weapon equipped during the whole dungeon or just the last boss??

As far as I know as long as you have it on when the last boss goes down your good to go.

Your weapon only has to be equipped when the dungeon is completed.

You get light while synced, but Heavensward dungeons give no light.

Yes. Even at level 50, you would get light from pre-level 50 dungeons. However any Heavensward dungeon/trial does not give you light. Light is exclusive to A Realm Reborn content.

Have it for the last boss, if you're forgetful, you can get away with using the weapon the whole dungeon; as most level 50 dungeons will ilevel sync you to i110.

But unfortunately, running dungeons undersized does not give light. A shame really.

Its an upgrade stage of the relic weapon 2000 lights are required to soul glaze the weapon, and shield too for PLD. Different instances in game give different amounts of light, FATES, HM primals, maps, PVP, roulette, and certain dungeons/raids. Its been nerfed a couple times now for quantity given, FATES are the lowest at 4 lights each, certain things have bonuses applied (doubling the amount) but not all the time.

Unless I'm going crazy, as I recall that's the actual name for what we call "light", so no light while un-synced.
