Map Overview Display Malfuntions

When bringing up my map overview display in Windows by either shortcut, clicking on the compass display, or clicking the map button in the journal only the map buttons and zoom bar appear.

Neither are clickable. Anyone else experience this? This has been an issue for about a month. I have tried re-setting all defaults, updating graphics, and submitted multiple bug requests. I have another character on a different server and the map works fine

It really hinders gameplay, and this character (my normal main) is pretty much unplayable.

There's a chance that you're encountering a bug, so we'd ask that you please follow the bug reporting guideline and post in the bug reporting section, so that the dev. team can properly investigate it!

Aside from the bug report, as a short term fix... As part of that resetting thing, have you tried completely clearing out your character's local files (ie at the filesystem level)*? You'll lose your HUD setup, hotbars, basically everything, but it would be interesting to see if that fixes the map.

*Rather than deleting, I'd suggest moving the files elsewhere so you can restore them if it doesn't work.

Thanks for the responses. And clearing out my character settings on a local file level did work! A bug report will be filled out to prevent this from happening to anyone else. I did some experimenting and it seems just deleting the "ADDON" file in the character settings folder did the trick. This file seems to contain UI settings such as HUD layouts and window sizes. Found this as a reference to which file is which so everything was not completely lost.
