What is your BLM rotation?

Hi all,

As the title says, what is your BLM rotation?

I'm not wanting a discussion on what we all think is the best rotation. I think Aikaals thread does that.

I'm more interested to see what variations people have due to gear, experience, etc. I figure that someone is likely doing something different and I can learn from that to be a better BLM and have better DPS (On PS4 so can't parse :()

Basically, post your rotation and if available, your parse from a dummy or a fight.

I'm currently using:

Open: QS>SC>LL>F3>ENO>F1>RS/Pot>F4>F4>F4>FS>Convert>F4>F4>F4>B3
Std: T1(proc)>B4>F3>F4>F4>F1>F4>F4>B3

I use T1 before B4 due to time left on Eno at that stage for me, one of the reasons I'm interested to see other rotations.

I have only been able to hit above 1250 once on faust in A1S (with food+pot, plus lucky TC and crits, normally avg just under 1100 on him) and know that I should/can be doing better. (FC mate was parsing our static run)

Hello! I assume you mean rotations for end game content/raids. If that's the case my rotation is similar to yours.

QS-LL-ShC-F3-Eno-F1-RS-INT pot-F4-F4-F4-F4(if SCH is in party)-FS-Convert-F4-F4-F4-B3(Tranpose if no SCH)-T1-(SwC depending on Eno timer)B4

Then continue on to do the regular F4-F4-F1-F4-F4-B3-T1-B4.

Obviously, depending on what stage of a fight I'm in, sometimes I do prefer to do the old 2.xx rotation once or twice just because I know a lot of movement is coming. If I feel comfortable I may use Enochian and throw a F4-F1-F4 sort of deal despite needed movement.

What do you do for your AoE rotation? I ran an expert the other day and was told to 'get gud' because I don't use Ley Lines too often during trash pulls. My reason for this is because if leaves an awkward no DPS part while you wait for tranpose. So like If I had Leylines up, I'd Enochian for the damage boost then F3-F2-F2-F2-Flare-Convert-SwC-Flare-Tranpose-F3-F2-F2-Flare....and then comes the problem. Because of the Sp.S boost from Leylines I finish Flare before Tranpose is off CD. Granted it's only like 2-3 seconds but still.

:/ I don't think I need to 'get gud' I just don't like down time for DPS >_>

It's a tight rotation...like really tight. You need to be on point with your spell casting and pray to the MMO gods that there is no lag. The more comfortable route is the 6 F4s but hell, that's what end game raid is all about right? Making yourself as uncomfortable as possible while trying to shell out as much DPS xD.

Six F4s leaves you with around ~300 mp for B3 in the opener with 264 piety. How are you getting the seventh?

You can't get 7 Fire IVs without AST.

I'm not very good at this game.

I personally do things a lot different, mostly cause I'm more comfortable with my opener and the way I use my binds.

Opener: 5 seconds before pull - precast Sharp + Quelling > Fire I > LL > Firestarter proc > enochian + RS > Fire IV > pot > Fire IV > Fire I > Fire IVx2 > Swift + Flare > Convert > Fire IV > Blizz 3 > T1 > Blizz 4.

So I know this isn't as potent by doing 5 F4s + Flare as opposed to 6 F4s. But the opener had more freedom and it's more forgiving especially on fights where you'll have to move during your opener.

As far as my numbers......with bard, monk, and ninja in my static, last week I parsed 1420 on Faust. I was i190 when I did this. The parse was higher but the 1420 was to Faust alone. Only hit 1 add with the opening Flare. This week, at i193, I parsed 1492 on Faust. Same comp.

Mines similar as both posted above. With a few exceptions. I start off with thunder then follow rotation above. But I don't use sharpcast with fire right away. If thunder procs off first cast, which tends to be when im about to cast blizzard, I use sharpcast, then hit thunder proc, then thunder will proc again which I use to lengthen thunder. Then it might proc again to lengthen again. To increase dot without downtime during enochian to recast it. Ill also keep up rotation, using blizzard when enochian is down to about 5-6. Usually by the time im enochian wears off, I can cast thunder again, and enochian is back up to go again. Is it the best rotation? Probably not. .. but im always casting f4/b4... with thunder dot here n there.

Im unfamiliar with the problem your having with leylines. I generally cast it on trash pulls if its available and haven't noticed having to wait for transpose (maybe I just dont aoe as often so dont remember). Aoe rotation seems solid. Im not an expert so take my advice with a grain of salt, but depending on the pull, sometimes ill sharpcast thunder and thundercloud 3 another mob before going into my aoe rotation. Most of the time by the time I finish off a flare I have a thundercloud proc waiting to be thrown onto another mob. If I dont have convert I like to throw in tc after transpose so I dont feel like I'm just standing there. Is this good or am I wasting potency?

Op I'm in same boat. Opener is the one most are using. I'd focus more on what your doing during the other rotations to improve dps. Atleast thats what I'm trying. Good luck on some solid responses
