Patcher not rising above 10 KB/s

Installed and downloaded the patches before 1.19 yesterday at almost 600 KB per second... now it wont rise over 10, and keeps dropping to 0, though my upload speed stays a measly 12-15 KB/s.

Never been a fan of peer to peer because of issues with people blocking outgoing data through firewalls...

Tried to download the patch via that other thread, but it wouldn't accept it, so either one of two: I placed the patch file in the wrong place, or the patcher wont accept that file.

Any help would be much appreciated, seeing I enjoyed the game itself the first hours I got to play...
