Catalysts

Sooo, how to make fingerprints of gods to work more often? it has about a 10% rate on me atm, its annoying, really. Also, when it finally goes off, no catalyst ever drops, only crappy alumen i throw away anyways. Yeah, im trying for the carbonized one, cause ALL materia uses it :/ the ONE i got from quest earlier is calc and does nada.

Found out now: to get catalyst you MUST set your eyes on right spot. Meaning 10% for it to trigger, then 10% for vright spot, meaning 1% chance per node to get one catalyst. if 1 node = 5 minutes, means we get 1 catalyst per 500 minutes. Who made this???? I already got 8 materia and 0 catalysts

I got a lot of catalysts on my first gathering run... maybe half a stack.

ok, by pure luck i just got one :D after 2 hours ...
Sooo, now that i got it, i click view materia on a item that is convertible, i got materias for that part in bag, bamm, "view materia" is still empty!

carbonized matter 1-30, Piety Materia I level 1~ Body, Cotton Halfgloves (convertible, not dated)
nothing in view materia list

so the aim is either + or - 5 for the catalysts?

I'm also curious what nodes you were farming them on?
