I would love to have a cross server (within the datacenter) party finder. I tend to play ff14 at late times and there are almost no party finders up when I play on my server. If not this then something similar to world of warcrafts cross-realm grouping.
i dont ever use party finder, i havent had any reason to, if this was ffxi i would understand but fates, dungeons, sidequests plus main story should get your lvl, and i loved ffxi dont get me wrong but this game is made a little differently to where you dont have to do those 6 man parties.
It not really about leveling, now with the ability to do lower level content as a unsynced party I would like to do some mount farms,farm for glamour ect, and I need a premade party to do that.
I think something like this would actually be pretty useful.
I wonder how this can be implemented. I don't think you can talk with other members in your party unless you're transferred to the instance given that some will be from different servers.
Just tossin this out there, but with how the game is made, doing something like that would be pretty hard to implement code wise, not to mention cause more server stress than is already there. It would be cool to have, I just dont see something like this being able to be done specifically with this game. Duty Finder is a different story, since it searches the data center for people, party finder, you would literally have to make a different instance for people to actually join to make this able to work, like maybe a "Data Center Tavern" or something along those lines.
If it is considered to be made, it wouldnt be anytime soon, since it would take ALOT of work for the dev team to accomplish.
Massive amounts of cross realm is what killed WoW's sense of community and personal accountability.
