Found an interesting comic and thought I'd post it here for others to see. It's an interesting idea.

Have the Ascians ever taken over a dead body before? I can't seem to recall it, although I have poor memory.

Also spoilers for smn questline + hw msq, etc

We actually find out in the SMN questline that ascians are able to take over dead bodies, with the black masked ascians only being able to possess the dead, and the red masks being able to possess both living and dead (extrapolating on that part, as if the black masks can take over the dead, why would the higher powered/ranked red masked ascians not be able to?)

I've played enough Castlevania to know how this works.

I don't think SE would do that to Hauchefaunt, and I hope it never will happen.

They did say they wanted HW story to be a bit more darker...so who knows.

Interesting. I'd prefer it if they didn't go that route with Haurchefaunt. Not only do they kill him off and bring back another that I couldn't care less about, but to do this. You'd have to be GRR Martin cruel... but who knows? It would get a reaction out of people, not exactly a positive one though.

Yes they can, complete the level 58 and 60 SMN quests. It specifically states they can

I don't see any lalafell or roegadyn became ascian lol.

Yeah, tbh I'd rage so hard if they went that route (´＿｀。)ｸﾞｽﾝ That cutscene was heart-wrenching enough, anything more in that fashion to him would be cruel. (now they could bring him back another way, i'd be cool with that (　 `ω´)b) He was/is beloved, I think the uproar would be too great if they did go that route orz
