Windows 10 No Sound

I know its not my PC or sounds settings as I can do a sound test in windows and hear sound I can also watch a video on youtube and hear sound. The lack of sound is only on FFXIV....

I play in full screen mode and there is no sound at all, after doing some searching and seeing a post that someone else was having the same issue, they wee told to quit the game and launcher and change the settings to windowed and the sound will work.... SO I tried that and sure enough sound works just fine in Windowed mode but if I switch back to fullscreen no sound again (even though the reddit post said switching back to fullscreen would keep the sound in tact) soooo how do I get the sound to work when playing in fullscreen?
