This event is a lot of fun :)

Not gonna lie I love tanabata so I was looking forward to this all year. I'm actually having a lot of fun making fish and handing them out to people (for free).

I also like seeing everyone partying on the beach and having fun (I don't live next to a beach so...)

I heard there were minigames last year...which is nice, I love minigames, so I'm sad I missed that and they didn't bring them back, but I am glad I can do something besides FATEs because....I just don't like being forced to do them.

Anyone else partying on the beach?

I know I am, made me hungry for fish after making so much, made about 800k selling them on the MB. Those things go quick xD

I feel like this event is the most underwhelming so far... the items are great, I LOVE the swimsuits (no complaints there). But... craft and hand in battered fish? That's it? Well, or fates. I feel like there was even less "story" than usual. Oh well.

It's a cute little event and great for crafters to make a buck but compared to other ones, where you rode a mount and stuff and turned into NPC's for Halloween.
It's underwhelming. They hit a miss A LOT with events...but I wish they did take much more thought into them as we rarely have event's anyways.

Though I see a lot of chatter and friendships made and free fish in Costa so that's pretty neat.

I hope so! It would be nice if they added a new quest to continue the story. We don't need any more items, but we didn't get a title from this event yet...

With all the grinding we've been left with so far, an easy and relaxing event is like a breath of fresh air.

Yeah, they were looking at the beach during the cutscene, and I thought "oh no!". But then all of the npcs were like "this is the best!".

Your beach is filthy, Gegeruju! Certainly not a suitable place for a bathing dance!

Whilst the event itself is relatively small content-wise compared to previous events this is one of the first to trigger so much interaction within the community. I've seen people setting up fish markets everywhere and giving them away for free. Honestly I hope future events have more components like this that get people talking and trading and just generally being nice to each other.

Another way to for crafters/gatherers to take advantage, especially since the ingredients are so cheap/easy to get. Thankfully I have a lv 50 CUL/BTN so I made my own battered fish and gave away my remaining (about 23 left over) to strangers to spread the joy

The previous event with the mini games and the story overall was significantly alot more fun than this cash grab.

Still, it did make me crave fish and chips :)
