Esoteric purchase when juggling between DRK and PLD - LF Advice

Hello, as title signifies, Iv'e got both PLD and DRK at 60. I leveled up my PLD first and got him his weapon on 2nd week (695 eso's). DRK is holding hive weapon and my static team is currently progressing through A1 savage (Oppressor 15%).

Today will be my first time tanking A1 savage as a DRK and I'm currently holding 655 eso's. I'll probably cap eso's before raid starts so that would leave me with 1105 eso's; do you think it would be better for me to get my DRK his weapon before raid or continue gearing up my PLD by buying him his chest?

Even though I enjoy DRK more than PLD, I'm more concerned about supporting my static and would like to know what you think would be my best option. Thanks.

at the moment get dark or war wep first as pld has a major dps issue.

I think you should focus on gearing the DRK with your esos because:

-The usefulness of PLD's strengths apart from in A2S is debatable.
-The i190 Alex NM gear is pretty good already for A2S.
-You enjoy DRK more anyway.

I had exactly the same situation. I got the esoterics weapon for paladin, and was going to focus gear that, but am also doubting my choice. Previously PLD was going to be my surefire choice, and DRK is a lot more effort to play (imo) but seems more effective. Think I have about 500 esoterics at the not so it'll be next week before I can get a weapon for DRK.

PLD/DRK Hybrid here same scenario for me (655 esso) and wondering what to do. I was able to get the Gloves from A2S (lolParry) so at least both Tanks can share those for the time being and thats 495 esso saved. I chose not to get the shield 'yet' due to the Hive Tower being better for A2s and to allow me to focus on better upgrades.

Since the i190 gear from Alex NM is more than enough for A2S that leads me to believe that the DRK Weapon would be the better option.

If we don't decide to get the DRK weapon what would be the best purchase? The Belt seems like a sure fire winner due to being shared on all the tanks (stats are underwhelming sadly). All the i200 Chest pieces have Parry so correct me if im wrong but should that be one of the last purchases considering?

Accessories are shared however they don't add any upgrades to defense which is likely more important here not to mention the fact that the i180/i190 VIT accessories are more than enough (if your even wearing VIT). Also most Tanks do a mix of Slaying/Fending accessories or even Pentamelded i150. All that said Accessories should probably be the last thing we focus on?

I'd gear up what you're most comfortable with and stick with it. Seeing as you're already progressing into the weapons upgrade your DPS checks should be slightly more relaxed and if continued will continue to ease up, assuming your static is doing the same for their DPS jobs.

DRK seems to be in a fairly good spot at the moment compared to PLD. My static still uses PLD/WAR (and PLD has DRK at 60), but given that you enjoy the DRK and it should do well enough, I'd think just go all in on DRK. Certainly the PLD is viable choice too - just esoterics kind of forces a "pick one and go all in" situation.

Like others have said , I'm leaning towards Drk gearing cause it seems to be more viable in floors 1 , 3 , and 4.

Week 1: 450
Week 2: 900 - 695
Week 3: 655 - 295 weapon
Week 4: 810 - 375 belt (if you haven't seen A2s yet or you won't be beating A2 soon) or str accessory. (I myself decided 2 str accessories over the belt since i have my 4th token this week from A1)
Week 5: 885 - 825 body
Week 6: 510 - 495 head/feet your choice.

If your group does not have a monk then you're going to be playing dark knight on 3. If you like Dark Knight more than paladin then my question is why did you throw tomestones away on a Hauteclaire?
