I'm...pretty sure the skittles can't fly yet. Square would have mentioned it in the patch notes if they did fly. Not to mention it'd be a bit unfair to have those fly, but not the other flavors of chocobos and other winged mounts fly.

Yeah, it would be so unfair to have the pony mounts fly. I mean, it's not like literally anyone could go get them. Only a select few people were ever allowed to get them so it would be unfair to the players who were never actually able to get them because they weren't allowed to go and get them ever.

Well that particular bit is because they're just thumbnails, linked to the full-sized picture.

Nah, you can go out of bounds there and walk in the sky or use any mount, so even your goobue can fly there if you want it to. You just can't do anything except run along the zone's lower limit.
