DX11 Crashes Fix for 970/980/980Ti
Hey guys,
so I have many crashes since a few weeks (new NVIDIA driver release).
After some research and protocol checking I found a solution for the 900 series.
Tested on three systems with 970/980/980Ti.
If you get the .dll crash report the following is to do:
- Uninstall completely all NVIDIA relevant programs from the system through "Control Center -> Programs & Features".
- Reboot the system
- Download the latest driver manually from NVIDIA
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk
- Install the driver (a reboot occurs through the installation) with "Custom Installation", not "Express".
- Make sure that you tick the checkbox for "Clean Install" when you chose the components
- Reboot your system
In that process the corrupted .dll will be completely replaced.
Result: Runs smooth since 2 days (~10 hours) per system.
I hope I could help a few guys with that.
Greetings
Perilos
