GC Leves?
So I tumble onto the fact I need to buy promotions to advance in rank AND unlock the Rank 2 Hunting Log for GC. So I need to grind for seals. Fates can be very hit or miss because it seems to me many is the time they really are meant for multiple players and MANY is the time I am alone.
So GC leves seems the better choice. EXCEPT for some reason I do NOT see any level 30 GC leves (we're talking Immortal Fames out of Thanalon, mob who gives em has none for me). Check the Wiki, it says I need to complete a quest at the IF HQ... except all I see is 2 lvl 50 and a lvl 44 quest there. Pretty sure I DID complete that quest because the giver is now only showing a lvl 44 quest and I know I did some for him already.
What am I missing?

Are you in the right region for the level? The level 20 and 25 ones are at Camp Drybone, but the level 30 ones are in Little Ala Mhigo. (At least for the Flames. You can also do Maelstrom and Adder leaves at Costa Del Sol or Camp Tranquil, respectively, but I think the reward is higher when getting them from your own GC.)
This wiki lists the GC leaves by level and area (as well as other info):

Yes... the guy (Blue Herring) at Little Mhigo shows me nothing at all, not even the leve banner over his head. Yes I do see the 20s and 25s at the Drybone Flame rep (who has the leve banner), but would rather do the 30s as I'd guess many more seals to be had there. I went and spent whatever seals I had getting to Cprl. Made no difference.
Nor do I see any GC leves available in Coerthas Central Highlands (who have the 35 ones) as I am questing there now. I'm stuck at doing only 25s and for the life of me can't figure out why I can't do the 30s.

Did you go and rank up in your GC?
You have to rank up first in order to unlock more high level leves (no pun intended.)
Otherwise, you're stuck doing lvl 25 ones.

Your rank probably isn't high enough. It's just like the ability to turn in pink background items is locked behind the rank. Try your daily roulettes if you aren't. If you're up to coerthas there are usually fate farm parties you can join in party finder. If you have crafting or gathering classes there are turn-ins you can do for seals as well. Hope this info helps.

If I recall correctly you also need to unlock the each subsequent level of GC leves. So Drybone for 20 and 25, before being able to unlock the 30s in Alamigo, then 35 in the Observatorium and 40 in Whitebrim and finally 45 in St Coinachs.

I DID do as much research as I could find, so I KNOW that to unlock the rank 2 hunting log, I DO need to get Sgt. 3rd (and have finished rank 1, which I have). The ONY mention about the GC leves was that I need to complete a quest from my home Flame guy, which I did. HE now only has a lvl 44 quest available.
The irony is that I got a ton of seals from ranking up doing the rank 1 hunting log... it hit 10k and no more, so I have no idea how many I missed. Read that a good thing to do was use seals to buy Ventures, so I spent 3k seals on that (obviously a mistake). So if it DOES turn out I need to get Sgt. 3rd to unlock the 30 leves, said leves become kinda pointless because I'll be able to run the GC hunting log to make tons of seals.
UPDATE: I still maintain that it's seriously odd I have to grind out 25 leves big time to get access to the 30 ones, but earlier I did the grind, got my 5k seals, purchased Sgt. 3rd and bingo, NOW I can access the 30 leaves at Little Ala Mhigo! Of COURSE, while I havent really run the math, I suspect doing the GC Hunting Log (also unlocked at Sgt. 3rd) may net far more seals!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction even though I was skeptical!
