Launcher error

Few hours that has been upgraded my computer to Windows 10 and is that when I go to start the game makes me get this error:

A system error has ocurred: -2146697208
http: /frontier.ffxiv.com/version_3_win/index.html RC_LANG = es_gb & time = 2015-08-04-19


Someone should know that there is a solution?

I was running just fine with Win 10, until today. Now I get the above error.

I disabled anti virus and bam, it worked. :(

Turning off ones A/V is not an accpetable solution.

I understand that. Hence my :(. I was just informing that that is what worked for me.

Got the same problem but I found that the launcher worked after I disabled Windows Defender Real-time protection. Shouldnt have to do this but since I got another AV program I dont think that Im risking anything. gonna look into if its possible to add rules to allow things through the real-time protection of windows defender.

Added the .exe files in the boot folder too excluded files in windows defender and turned real-time protection back on and now it works. Try and see if it solves the problem on your end too please.

Yeah I understand Prayos. It does seem that Kasperkey, Viper, Sophos all had a problem with update we got yesterday. If you disable to start the patch then re-enable it seems to work and you have a minimal exposure time.

Side note: As some one that gets to deal with the darker side of the internet daily, I would never recommend you put any executable file (exe, bat, com, etc) in an firewall exception/white list unless you were 100% sure.

Temporarily turned off antivirus and such. Still get that launcher error message with it off. For laughs, tried adding it to the excluded folders, still nothing.

Dpsguy, right-click the launcher and choose "Run as Administrator". That's what worked for me.
