It was such a shame there was no translator in person for this event, but thanks to XIVpads for making it easier to watch/chat while viewing the official twitter answers.

I've seen quite a few players returning to check the game out, but it must still seem like such a lost cause for them. 1.19 will be an amazing patch, but it's not a miracle patch. It won't satisfy & draw everyone back in.

If you're just getting back into FF14 & actually enjoy it, then that's awesome. If you've come back & still can't stand it, then you should keep holding off (it's as simple as this). The game is still 50% of what they want it to be.

At the very least, 1.19 has proved that the future of FF14 will be great if they can continue down this path. It's still going to take time (and no one wants to hear that), but it is what it is.

Depending what he means by content, that could imply anything.

Their internal version must be 50% done. If that includes -everything-, then there are things that won't be implemented for some time to come.

Did anybody doubt this ratio?

I was pretty generous when I made the claim that we were about ~65% to what a good FFXIV 1.0 would be -- I'm glad to see Yoshida-san isn't giving his group that same amount of "wiggle room." The game wasn't ever bad, they just tried to do too much too fast and spread themselves so thin that they only had about 10% of a game. You just can't play that.

We can at least play 50%, but it's still not quite... you know, a full game.

Yeah at this point it feels like when you preorder a game and get access to its beta until the release.
I'm not saying this in defence of S-E releasing an unfinished product though, however I do enjoy the game atm and it keeps improving every patch but still when my friends ask about it I always recommend them to wait until future patches gets the game closer to a finished product.

I asked when did he think the content would be at 100 precent but never got an answer :(

It sounds about right. So far we have:

Instance dungeons
Non-instance dungeons
Primal battles
Leves
Grand Companies
Protect Chocobo (i forgot the exact name. sorry!)

Announced is:

Fighting while riding chocobo
Hamlet battles
Colosseum PVP battles
PVP battles to take control over areas

That seems good enough for a 50% mark to me. If we get double that, XIV will be a good game.

I hope they don't view all content as 'dungeons' or 'raids'. I mean I'm all for instanced areas and even some underground open ones and the like but something with a little more wiggle room than a corridor would be nice. And more boss battles for the missions with the party size not limited at 4. Something with a few more requirements other than "walk from A to b". Something with items to use on mobs to destabilize them.

I mean if I had to have just one of those things, I'd ask for mission based content to not limit a party at 4 people. A limit, not a minimum requirement. All missions regardless of failure should be able to be attempted by a min of 1 and a maxed out party. :/ I have a large LS and splitting enough people up to have enough healers to go around is a pain in the ass.

This was known since last week, he mentioned in the connect-on interview that they are around 50% complete with the changes they want to make.

Content is not the correct translation, its more like 50% of the planned work load.
