Idea for new gold saucer attraction 1V1 Duel in a ARENA against PC or player.

So basically you talk to a npc and like choco races you queue against npcs and any people queued at that time.

in this case make it an option to fight random npc or person as not everyone likes pvp.

So you enter arena and you fight a random mob that is synched to your current ilevel, so like more str you have more str they have and same for all other stats to make a fair match.

Win fight in match time get mgp and or special items as rewards. lose and you miss out maybe add a consolation prize of the entering fee so it encourages people to keep trying.

in this way many people will learn how to maximize their dps and receive rewards.
make several modes too like easy -2 ilevel medium same ilevel, hard 2 ilevels higher and extreme 5 higher and insanity 10 ilevels higher but should set major prizes for insanity lol.

also depending on class types who enter should face same type of mob eg melee vs melee ranged vs ranged and caster vs caster.

Then you can add stuff like tournaments where you 1v1 pvp people that are within say 2 ilevels and offer special items if you win grand final.

And also will need FF7s arena music at the gold saucer as well remastered I've course.

I like this idea, except for the part where you can 1v1 against another player. As much as this game needs some way to duel other players outside of just trying to find your friend in Frontlines and hope no one else comes by and messes up your fight, the Gold Saucer would be the absolute wrong venue for it, as SE would undoubtedly try attach MGP rewards to it or give it some terribly thought out tournament system which promotes unethical gameplay. A place in the game that allows a party of 2 players to challenge each other to honorable combat for no reason other that the sake of it is in order though. And I think the Proving Grounds in Ishgard's Foundary are the PERFECT area (lore wise) to implement it.

basically I used to love final fantasy 7's arena and the gold saucer and this is what's missing from FFXIV's gold saucer.

As for the player vs player system part make it a lobby system that people enter and can pick a challenge against the people already in lobby instead of an option to say click on a random challenge to duel in arena area. cause I really am not fond of pvp itself but some people like that kind of thing.
