Questions about FC Tranfer Method

Recently I have gotten into talks about purchasing a house from an FC owner here in Ultros. They have agreed to selling me the house through the method of inviting me to the FC, making me the leader, and then leaving the FC themselves.

I do have a question about this method that I haven't been able to find a clear answer for. Is there any way for the FC house to become my personal house without demolishing the plot and rebuilding on it? So for example, if I were to attempt to dissolve the FC, what would happen? I ask this as I wish to remain in my current FC.

For the price of housing on this server, the FC method is really the only way I could afford the house immediately.

At this poin in time, there is no system in place to transition a pre-constructed/owned house from FC>personal or personal>FC - while some people are wanting to see this ability put into the game, there are many other facets of the housing system that need to be improved on before they can focus elsewhere. So for the time being, your options are either a) hold off on buying a place when the new wards are out (who knows when that will happen) and stay in your current FC or b) set up a linkshell with everyone in your FC so you can still communicate with everyone en masse, leave & buy the FC attached to the house you mentioned in your post.

It might not be an ideal set of options, but that's all there is at the moment.

I sold my fc house through transferring the FC. It is definitely the best option. You would have to relinquish the plot and purchase to be able to use it as a personal because you are asked that when you buy the plot. FC renaming system is coming!
