Choosing between DRG or Range Caster DPS ...

So looking unto an new main from 1-60 and wondering what class would be useful for raiding and able to good high dps (easy) without relying on procs and stuff like that ?

blm is out of the question then cause thundercloud increases their dps
summoner might be for you if you don't mind keeping track of buffs (Dread wyrm trance, aethertail attunements, aetherflow stacks)
I can't speak much for brd or drg since I haven't played either
