It's not just chocobo race and triple triad becoming a bit more obsolete, I actually enjoy chocobo racing...there just doesn't seem to be any reward for doing so, MGP is a dead currency at the moment, a hairstyle, a few glamour weapons that take a few days to obtain, Fenrir, which, despite being cool, we can't forget it's a ground mount (pretty useless...), and the Cloud Strife card...................seriously, not making the cut, and it's been like this for months now.
The rarest titles are attached to the cactpots, can I ask why? GS needs more titles and more rewards related to fun things (mostly chocobo racing and triple triad, not silly gates and cactpots...). If there was some sort of chocobo racing rare title such as "place 1st 2-5k times in R300", at least that would give us something to step back in. At the moment chocobo square is a graveyard <.<.

no suprise actually. that happens when devs put overkill RNG on a activity and fail to reward people on top of that. it becomes dead content or pretty close to dead except for a few tryhards. tt was destroyed by the new npcs and thier stupid random rules and oped decks.
also add the fact that getting 90 cards doesnt unlock free 4 star play unlike 30 and 60 cards did before makes 4 star cards useless forever mostly. very bad design desicion.
add reduced tournament prizes and payout for playing npcs aswell. another change to the bad for no reason. -

The problem with the GS at the moment is really that none of it is actually any fun. Triple Triad and Chocobo Racing as mini-games are fun but the progression systems behind them are horrific grinds. All of the rewards for these mini-games come from the horrific grind aspect rather than the fun mini-game part so the majority of players just gave up when they realised how long it would take.
The only way to get anything much out of the GS is if you win the lottery. -

I'm still gathering MGP in hopes that one day more will be added to spend on them. After getting Kirin I've lost any desire to get the turtle or Fenrir, so right now I'm just building up.

When the expansion first came out, I went to gold saucer first thing to see the new shiny items they must have added! Nothing... was so disappointed T_T like seriously? Half the time I played was in gold saucer or out doing triple triad for points.

I believe 3.1 is when we are getting a new attraction among other things, so we just need to wait. I assume that is when we'll get new goodies in the shop too.

they said on a interview just a few days ago that a new "attraction" aka new from of rng based grind will come with 3.1 while this probaly wont help gs in the long run the other change they talked about was adjusting prices and mgp payouts on the saucer. this could mean gettin fenrir could become less of a grind than now.
ill wait for 3.1 details and then see. -
