Can we make gear exchange a possibility?

Hi, just wondering if there's any possibility, and what people think about us having a NPC to exchange old/current unwanted gear for the corresponding tomestone of that gear? Sometimes it becomes obsolete when you get same character level gear (ie:lv.60) with much higher item levels, and the better gear is still usable cross class. Or if you accidentally bought the wrong item.
I think if you could exchange it for the tomes it'd be a lot better than letting it go to waste after you've spent hours or even days farming for it. Even if it's like 30% of original cost I'd be super happy with it.

What I mean isn't the ones you get from dungeon drops, but the ones you have to grind for. Ie:law, esoterics etc..
if you can't use it (on retainers) or you accidentally bought the wrong one/don't need it, it would be nice to be able to turn that item in to lets say Hismena in Idyllshire, for a fraction of what you originally got it for. that way it wouldn't go to waste for those who can no longer use it.

Dunno. makes sense in my head... lol

We have one, it's called Expert Delivery. Not what you're looking for, but it's the only system.

Mine goes to gear up my retainers. Or, if not needed, GC seals for venture tokens.

Yeah it's a good idea, and I should had explained it a little better, so I edited my original post a bit. I'm inclining towards gear such as law, etc. Which can't be traded in for company seals, and you cannot use on your retainers; for they are not that specific class. Just seems like such a waste to have spent so much time doing hunts, farming tomestones to have it just go to waste once you upgrade that piece, or you mistakenly buy the wrong piece.

Actually this is a nice idea. I replaced all my law gear with alex, now I am replacing alex with eso and soon savage alex gear. So I can equip normal alex gear to retainer and would love to get law back for the law gear to turn it into something else. Even if it returned only 50% of the price of the gear (second hand hehe) it would be nice.

There was mention of in the future being able to allocate jobs and not just classes to the retainers. I have PUG/MNK Law gear that I upgraded with Alex ilvl90 gear on my PUG retainer.
