The Lorekeepers - still active?

So I'd heard that the Lorekeepers linkshell was a good hub for Brynhildr RP...unfortunately I can't seem to contact anyone to 1) determine if they're still active or 2) figure out how one gets an invite. Part of the problem being that you can't send mail to anyone not on your friends list, and I haven't so far been online when the various leaders of the linkshell (as listed in Lodestone) are also online.

If anyone else knows more than me I'd be very interested; I'm relatively new to the game but interested in exploring the RP options available!
