I got my MCH to 60 first hoping it was going to be a real DPS class but....its not..So i decided to finish my BRD got it to 60 . Because BRD and MCH share gear both are IL183 both have IL180 weapons both have a combination Alex and 180 gear. Looking at the stats under character and flipping between the 2 . BRD has 52 more points in Critical Hit then MCH. So to me as of right now BRD over MCH unless MCH gets another makeover . Thought id share my findings

That 52 points of crit comes from your main hand weapon. Equip the i200 weapon on both jobs and now the MCH has 64 more crit than BRD. Oops!
How about their utility, skills and potency make-up...? o_o I'm pretty sure 52 Critical Hit stats aren't going to make one class stronger than the other, especially if the group composition maximizes the each class' strengths.
MCH needs a makeover because bard's i180 weapon has more crit than machinist's 180 weapon? Please tell me this is another troll.
Right now secondary stats mean almost nothing compared to the main stats so 52 crit ain't going to make much of a difference, aslong as you're not way over your accuracy cap any secondary stat will do.
We're not in ARR anymore and it will take a while for secondary stats to become interesting again.
