What To Do With Law+ Gear Once We Upgrade Beyond It?

I can't quite seem to find the answer to this, so I ask here. Say you've gotten a belt through tomestones of law. You've even upgraded it. Then you get a belt through item turn-ins Alexander brings. Now you have this old belt. Spiritbond is 100%, but you're unable to melt it. Grand Company won't accept it for seals. You cannot sell it. Is it just to be destroyed, or is there some kind of turn-in somewhere to get something out of the effort it took to acquire it in the first place? lol

Curious is all. If all there is to do is destroy it, well, for the sake of my retainers and an unknown future of implimentation so be it.

I'm going to hoard it until we can desynth it, the same way I did with soldiery and poetics gear.

At that point you'll be able to turn it in for seals as well.

I'm going to guess that now the alliance has been formed the Grand Companies may get some kind of influence in the new areas and they will increase our rank and then allow these to be traded for seals, please look forward to it.

Your retainers can use them to have access to higher level ventures if you have DoW or DoM retainers.

Like others have said, either hold onto it for the purpose of desynth later, or hold onto it so you can hand in for GC seals later on(3 months from now). Of course considering GC seals rain from the freaking sky right now, and there is not a lot of useful things to buy, I'm not sure you even need that. But in 3 months you might, when they start adding rare crafting materials, and such to the GC list. I use to spend lots of GC seals on crafting items to sell for LOTS of gil. But those items are useless now, so I just buy cordials and exp manuals for my gatherer/crafters. You can also buy gear to desynth from GC as well I believe.
