Spoilers* Airship's In Ishgard Post MSQ?

So yeah *Spoilers* (Sorta)

At the end of the Heavensward MSQ we celebrate a new era in Eorzea with a new Alliance with all four city-states. Yet there is actually nothing that shows that in game. Once you complete that cutscene, everything is pretty much back to the way it was before we started the MSQ.

Ishgard is locked off. It remains locked off post MSQ. Where logically we should gain an NPC at the airship dock that allows us to fly to the 3 other cities and Gold Saucer. This is the most logical addition post MSQ, but obviously there could/should be more`

I think it makes more sense to add a airship to Ishgard after this expansion, so in 4.0, we might see a airship and the gates are lore wise open to everyone. For the players it should be closed, because of the 2.0 storyline.

I agree! After you bet the MSQ, unit the 4 cities, and overturn centuries of false-history in the name of peace, the city stays the same as always.
They could at least have added more NPCs from the other Cities in Ishgard or something. :B

the story don't end with the 3.0 MSQ, it is only the end of episode 1
i'm sure the merchants and the Highwind Skyways company need our help for it.

Game operates on a timeline in regards to the MSQ, the other City-States didnt have Airship and Merchant services chomping at the bit all lined up ready to go right into Ishgard.
It would not surprise me at all to see new NPCs from other Cities wandering around Ishgard as we progress through the 3.x series of story. Consider that there's also several closed stalls in the Market lane.
Perhaps setting up an airship service is something that we'll touch on in the MSQ itself, as I'm sure Nidhogg and Co would actively prevent Airships from sailing in where they could.

As for why they aren't parading the naked truth about the dragons to the smallfolk, they explain that quite well in the Cutscenes. If you actually watched and read the them.

The wheels of bureaucracy turn slowly. Not to mention, Nidhogg is still out there with his followers.

In any case, I'm sure we'll get an airship eventually.

There are changes to Ishgard after 3.0 MSQ being mostly just dialogue from NPCs.

We don't see any physical change due to the timeframe being right after the signing of Ishgard joining the Eorzean Alliance.

As NPCs mention they are currently struggling to handle the revealing of the truth and preparing to settle into the Eorzean Alliance as of now.

Any physical change most likely won't begin to happen until 3.1 or after since that should be the timeframe when the MSQ start showing Ishgard slowly moving out of their Isolation policy and adjusting to being involved with the world again.

After all change is not made within a day of a person's life but by generations.

Actually, there's one minor change. In Foundation there's a couple kids throwing snowballs at eachother. Depending on where you are in the story they react differently to you.

Why on earth would anyone think they've beaten Heavensward a mere month after it hit the stores?
Yes, you reached the end of the current PATCHES, not the end of the EXPANSION content which will be released slowly over the several months.
Don't forget that ARR was 2.0 - 2.55, so 55 content patches. I expect there will be at least that many in HW.
