Why did you gimp Bards? And supposedly Machinist as well?

So I wont pretend to know exactly how the new skills work for Bard since I'm only 54 right now, but I have to say I'm not liking the cast times. I started playing Bard as a secondary class in 2.x and loved it. I actually felt strong I was doing great DPS, but now I fell sucky. Can someone say if the new abilities get better, and if Minuet ever stops geting on your nerves.?

I wanted to make this post to offer suggestions on why Minuet sorta makes no sense, and how SE could, hopefully, change it.

First off, charging a bow and arrow makes no sense. Granted a lot of the things in this game make no sense, but still. While I havent gotten far into leveling Machinist, charging a gun makes more sense then charging a bow. Why couldn't Minuet be the physical equivalent of Foe's. I also find it odd that an ability called Wanderer's makes you stand still. There are so many other ways they could of added new abilities to Bard; why not a regen song, an attack speed song, a slow song, or a defensive song, almost anything else. And why do we have to lose our auto attack and have charge times, I'd rather of just lost the auto attack and had a 20% increase; which itself might be dumb since auto attacking is around that 20%, but I'd still be mobile. I mean I know we are ranged but, no other physical class has charged times I can still move as a ninja/dragoon/monk, etc. I wonder what utility they thought they were adding to Bard when they added Minuet and adjusted the previous moves?

Also it says in the description of the class/job that while DPS, HP, and Defense are low they have the advantage of attacking for range while still being mobile. So I ask you SE why would you take the very essence of the class/job away?

My other gripe is reletively small by comparison. While the new barrage isn't bad really I cant help but feel they could of made it better too. Maybe allow it to spread Windbite and Venomous Bite to multiple targets. Sorta like a physical Bane but you need to use it prior to using the weapon skill not after.

Thanks for listening, I hope someone can elaborate whether these moves get better at 60. I'm hopeful, but I know SE doesn't seem to think some things through, lol.
