New pvp = RNG master?

I dont even think is RNG, like 80% of matches the tomelights spawn on a side of the map for the whole match except at the end, when the Gc that got fucked by the "RNG" gets a couple of A rank or Rank S at the end when its already too late to do anything.idk if anyone have noticed this too lol.

I think this "RNG" is so fucked up, if the alliance with luck are abit smarth they can win without even doing anything lol.SE pvp section are lazy as fuck, they wont even fix the GC lock when they know is a hugue problem for almost the whole ff14 players, and now they make a pvp where the luck is the best skill so far.

Most of my matches have ended with those nodes spawning, either at the end as a clutch to win or as a constant throughout the match. I've won on adders where we had an entire 600 point lead against both teams because all nods spawned on our side and the match ended with an A and S spawning in the caves (next to our camp), as well as matches where we have a 200 point lead and get overtaken by another GC because both an S and A spawn on their side, far out of our reach.

Its incredibly frustrating, esp when you consider that its so much harder to take over a node than it is to claim or defend.

The entire pvp player base is wearing pirate hats made of tinfoil over these node spawns, though I have to agree that the spawn points are horrible. I at least wish that there was no chance of the nodes spawning on a previously occupied node since that kind of RNG can absolutely destroy a game.

Hmmm just from the top of my head. What if there was some indicator on where the next pop would be after one closes. You know, like some of the quests have these orange "general aera" circle. Or a transperant node indicator.

Even some sort of node rotation would help battle rng. Some nodes rotates clockwise while others rotates anticlockwise. There is room for rng in that.

It still won't change the fact that a team can essentially snowball the nodes if it spawns next to them (rotating clockwise/counterclockwise). It's so easy to claim a node when you're on top of it then defend it, versus trying to retake from someone else.

An indicator or forecast would help since players would rush over to it and skirmish for it, the winner being able to claim, but having it spawn across the map is still literally the worse feeling in the world.

Also, S rank nodes are BS with how easily they can turn a match. Was behind with 150 or so points with Maelstrom at 650 or so. Had 2 S rank nodes and an A rank spawn in easily accessible locations, and easily overtook the maelstrom and won.

I would say about 50%-75% of the matches are determined by rng. It really ruins the initial entusiasm. When we win due to rng it doesn't feel right.

It's incredibly frustrating. I hate frontlines as it is with the gimmicky 3-way match set up (leading to the inevitable sandwiching, esp if you're teh cave team in seize)), but the objectives really aren't all that fun or engaging either (esp slaughter and seize) so I can't even enjoy that part of the game...

And they locked the ADS mount behind 200 wins.

This new mode is horrible. Why you would incorporate RNG spawns with such high reward? It's ridiculous! Would rather Slaughter...at least it's predictable and RNG doesn't mess you over when you're ahead.

*Edit: Just won a game because stuff spawned entirely on our side of the map. Yup, pr0 "player" vs "player" skills right there. uh huh

RNG plays a role in this mode, but coordination and strategy play a bigger role. For example, having 4 nodes on your side is great... for a bit, but when the other 2 teams zerg your nodes and you decide to defend all 4 individually at the same time w/ equal resources (hell even if you defend only the 2 outer ones... you got two teams hunting you down and double-teaming you), you'll lose a lot of points from dying and then your entire team formation is all scattered and screwed. You'll need to coordinate and figure out which nodes to sacrifice and when to call it quits on nodes and need a shotcaller that tells everyone to meet up at the other nodes.

My only bad RNG experience was when an S rank spawned on both other team's sides and none spawned on ours... but that was just bad rng, it's not at all common.

Two teams can sandwich you regardless of if you have all four nodes, one nodes, or even no nodes. That's a constant possibility when you have a 3-way pvp mode. The matter of fact is that it's that much harder to retake a node when someone has claimed it, versus defending it since you need to interact with the node to get a capture (which more or less complete wipe out of the opposition). Once you've defended those noes down to the last 30% or so, it's already a wasted effort to bang your head against that node to get a meager 50 points.

Even worse if both teams went after the same node of the four, because then it'll be even more contested since again, you need a complete wipeout of all opposition if you want that node yourself. I mean for some matches, RNG has been "fair" with even spawns, but honestly it doesn't make it any more less frustrating and nearly all my matches have been decided by some random A/S rank node spawning behind or near a team who already has a claimed node.
