Another dissipation thread

Okay, I will have to admit, dissipation has shown it's usefulness and utuility in Alexander savage that expanded more to healing than DPSing.

Keeping my testimony short, with my statics bouts with Faust, no matter how will DPS was or my co-healer WHM and my healing was, he would almost always enrage around 5-7% and deal so much damage that became to much to clutch heal through. On our second night, I added in dissipation immediate after I was out of aetherflow as lustrate spam became a a necessity. It became less about healing potential and more about "I need to heal and I need to heal NOW!"

I still dislike the ability. I imagine I will need it less as my static and I transition to 200+ gear. But I will acknowledge that I used it as intended and when neccessary.

I can say that Dissipation helps my static clear Faust (nothing to do with healing; the margin for error on the DPS check is just so tiny for our DPS that we don't clear unless I pull 600+ with no ACC melds).

Still sad that it is a pretty poor emergency skill, but by the time they rework it to be a viable panic healing CD, I'll probably be bitching that they changed it from giving me 3 extra EDs....

I did some research and theory testing with it last week and my conclusion came to what I can assume the devs intended on. It really is only for aetherflow stacks during moments where you will honestly and desperately need them. It is less of an emergency ability and more a preventative measure that requires a lot of forethought before using if you are, indeed, using it in regards to healing when you know an "Oh $!%#" moment may be approaching before it happens.

I have used it when I needed some Lustrates or Indoms right *now*, but thats pretty rare. Usually because either the other healer bought the farm and the rest of the group is hurting bad, or I put myself in a corner. I just wish they would have made a reduced cost to resummon the fairy after, its a little harsh.

I have not used this except to mess around and agree you would have to be in a very bad situation if using this. I wish it would have been a more "usable" ability more of the time. It is a shame.

Honestly you shouldn't have or need to use it outside of savage to save a party because the other healer isn't pulling their weight. That's something that needs to be communicated to the other healer, with some tact of course.

I disagree. If you\\'re coming up on a phase where you absolutely know that you are going to burn through 3-6+ in less than the minute it takes aetherflow to come off CD and it completely -neccessary-, then you use dissipation.

If you are using it and you are already in a bad situation, the chances that some one will die or a wipe will likely happen. This is why I say it should be used to prevent that from happening.

Pretty much a duplicate thread of another one, but I'll post here anyway because I prefer this one.

All Dissipation needs is a different effect for each of the two fairies.
e.g.
Dissipation on Eos: Restores 3 Aetherflow stacks, up to a maximum of 6. Increases healing potency by 20% for 30s. Fairies cannot be resummoned for 30s.
Aetherflow would continue to restore Aetherflow stacks up to a maximum of 3- that is to say, the only way to obtain 4, 5 or 6 Aetherflow stacks is via Dissipation, while already having Aetherflow stacks.

Dissipation on Selene: Restores 1 Aetherflow stack, up to a maximum of 3. Reduces global cooldown to 2.0s, before spell speed effects, for 30s. Fairies cannot be resummoned for 30s.
The point of this is to simultaneously allow its use for an emergency stack of Aetherflow, but also to boost healing as Dissipation should, and/or boost DPS, as Selene should.

Of course, I'm not saying these are perfectly balanced or what-have-you, merely that Dissipation should have separate effects for each fairy, considering they do different things. Seems lazy for an ultimate ability to sacrifice the DPS fairy only to increase your healing, but not DPS is any manner whatsoever.
