Question on machinist

Is quelling strikes (the cross class action from archer) a needed action? Unlocked mch and this archer grind is killing my fun.

I tend to pop it before my opener when in DF groups. Bursting a lot of damage with a tank you're unfamiliar with is not the best idea. But asides from that I've not found a practical application for it.

Had it up till I switched it out for Feint around level fifty.

You can do without it, level your bard with something easy like guildhest roulette when you feel like it. Take your time.


You'll occasionally take a boss off of a bad tank with the opening burst but other than that nobody cares about quelling.

This was my experience as well. Except for the initial burst there is little chance of ripping hate from a good tank. For me Feint is better to ensure mobility without having to turn gauss barrel off.
