Phasing out of certain items and "Dated" items

I would also like to know if they are phasing out Buffalo Hides and Hog Hides and if so, why? Buffalo leather has been in so many recipes why change it all to aldgoat? Buffalo Hides and Hog Hides are both rewards from local leves and I have amassed quite a stock. These aren't the only 2 items that I notice you are doing this too. Why not phase out aldgoat skins and boar hides instead? Also, is all my gear gonna convert to a "Dated" status after patch with adjusted stats and if so why? Or is it anything made after the patch using the old recipe? If it's all gonna convert to "Dated" then it's like we have to start all over again to get gear that isn't "Dated". Mini-reset?
