Trials of the Braves
So with the new patch making Trials of the Braves (Animus books) slightly easier, I decided to try them out again. I completed another couple books without a hitch but I ran into something really annoying.
I needed to do Copperbell Mines (Hard) and Brayflox's Longstop (Hard) as the final 2 things in my current book. After being queued for a couple hours I finally find a group in Copperbell and we get to the final boss, get him low, then I get smacked and die, but the boss only has like 5% hp left so they finish it off. I got no credit for it in my book even though I had my relic weapon equipped and defeated the boss, but since I died, the system thought I didn't deserve it.

Fast forward another 2 hours after I finish Copperbell again and get in a queue for Brayflox. Again I get to the end and again I die when the boss is almost dead. I frantically call my party to stop attacking before I am revived but of course nobody watches chat so again they kill it and I get no credit.
So here I am writing this, waiting for the stupid long queue for Brayflox because for whatever reason doing a dungeon is completely negated if you are dead when the boss dies.

Just for future reference (and I don't say this to be mean, just to be helpful), you can edit a post once you've made it to bypass the 1000-character limit. Also, I agree, allowing you to get credit for dungeons on the Animus stage while dead is one of the last changes this quest chain (or at least this stage) needs. I had a similar experience in Lost City a week or so ago--got to Diabolos, had no problems anywhere in the dungeon up until then or even on that boss, but suddenly my HP just vanished when the boss was near death (I've run this fight several times and never seen this happen before) and the group just left me dead despite the obvious Gae Bolg in my hands, so I had to wait until my free time allowed me to sit in queue for another hour or more to try again, which wasn't until today. The elite players can scream "git gud" all they want, or tell me or the OP we're scrubs for dying to old content, but nobody's perfect (even them, much as they'd like to think they are), and mistakes happen. And let's face it: at this point, the 2.0 relic quest chain and the dungeons attached to it ARE all outdated content; the queue times for the related dungeons are absolutely horrid (unless you just do the relevant roulettes and hope for the best), and most groups are so overgeared by this time that, if a single party member dies, the loss can be negligible enough for the rest of the group to just steamroll the rest of the way through the boss without noticing (no matter how much the dead person pleads), forcing the dead player to just sit there and watch 90+ minutes of their time evaporate into thin air with nothing to show for it. Meanwhile, no other stage of this quest chain has the "you don't get credit if you're dead" prereq--as bad as it sounds, I was dead when I got the hyperfused ore from Titan HM for both my finished Sasuke's Blades Zeta AND currently in-progress Longinus Zeta (I'm far from pro, not afraid to admit it), was probably down for one or both of the chimera or hydra trials my first time through them but still got credit, and I'm pretty sure I've gotten Nexus light and Zeta soul resonance while dead once or twice too--so I don't see the harm in updating the Animus stage to allow us to get credit for dungeons when dead too. It's not like we're asking to get credit for a BiS weapon while dead anymore; these things are just glamours now, so what difference does it make overall?

Not sure if a DPS can do it, since I currently don't have any up to 60 and geared. You can just do undersized parties and solo the dungeons. Or well attempt to.

I understand this frustration about bring dead when the boss is killed and receiving no credit. Since then, I've learned that it's best to homepoint/revive immediately if you suspect the boss will die while you wait for raise. It doesn't matter if you're in the boss room or by the dungeon entrance...you WILL get credit as long as you're alive.
This also applies to experience points awarded by bosses

Its been like this for a long time, since the books were released. Its a sad thing, but it was something that, since then, still hasn't been changed, so its a pretty likely it won't. Trust me, I feel for you. I've had this happen to me a long time ago, and it sucks especially as a dps, where even ques back then still took a while.

Grab a friend and do it undersized as level 60's. Faster and safer than doing as synched level 50 light party.

I had several runs with these types of parties, they finished the boss b/c they are in a hurry while I cry for not getting the kill.
As the humble person before me wrote, Grab a healer Lv.60 and run it duo Unsynced/Undersized or with a tank and/or healer... it will take no longer than 5-15 min, you sneeze and mobs die.
