To meld or not to meld?

So currently i'm sitting on a miner 60 with all HQ Gear nothing melded yet(As my foragers is pretty much worthless now) Should i or should i not meld it?

And what do i meld? Most stuff i already have 95% Succes chance on, But HQ on the other hand i can probably use. As of now i can't finish my quests yet as i probably need to meld my gear with perception. So my quest is, Should i meld or just wait for updates to roll out with new gear or is this gear that we currently have gonna last us a while?

I assume for the new gear you will need to be able to gather the folklore nodes at least which take 600 gathering at the lowest
