Heavy shield clipping issues since 3.0 patch.

I'm not sure how it is on other races, but on Highlanders shields are clipping quite a bit since the 3.0 patch. The severity differs from shield to shield, but on some of them it's really very ugly looking (particularly wider shields where the right side buries itself in the Highlander's right shoulder).

This problem seemed to become much more severe with the 3.0 patch, as I have tons of screenshots prior to the expansion and the clipping issues with these shields is not even remotely as bad as it is now. I noticed that shields now pivot counter-clockwise whenever riding flying mounts (but not ground mounts). I suspect in the process of making this change the connection point for these shields (or the mounting point on the character model) was adjusted in a way that has in turn created this issue.

If you look at the image below (top down view of a Highlander character), you can see just how misaligned the shield placement is.

The Paladin class is my main, and the back of my character is something I see on my screen for a majority of my play time. Would you please improve the positioning of these shields and fix this problem?
