help me fix my rotation blm

1st time poster here struggling w/bismarck ex. Dont have a static so been chugging along in pf. Been called out a couple of times by some ninja parsers and I dont want to keep holding people back. During the 1st add phase I fire spam. Finish off last add with blizzard3. Precast raging strikes+sharpcast offback. On back, leylines, fire3, enochian, fire1, fire4x3, firestarter proc, quickcast fire4. Thrown off back, wait 2 seconds, transpose, blizzard4 a serpent, fire3 n look for my debuff. I avoid thunder here as Im not sure if it would reflect if I get the wrong debuff? Am i on the right track? Im afraid of popping enochian in the beginning as I dont want it to accidentally fall off on carapace. Also curious if I should flare spam the first 2 adds instead of fire spam. definitely intend to flare spam the 3 adds in phase 3 so long as theyre stacked (is that right?) But so far ive only made it to phase 3 once. Any and all advice is welcome. Thank you in advanced!

Thank you! I've been through that guide. I was sort of hoping for some more specific bismarck advice ie enochian during first add phase or not?But I do suppose I should go over it again as im clearly having issues.

Well now im going to go off topic in my own thread as I was looking for advice specifically on bismarck ex. The currently accepted optimal rotation is impossible on the carapace because you dont have that much time. Basically what I generally do as my opener (outside bismarck) is the same as the optimal minus the convert swiftcast netting me 5x fire 4s rather than 6. I tried this 6x fire 4s rotation 3 times and was only able to pull it off once on a dummy. The other two times I did not have enough mana to cast blizzard 3. Im guessing there is a piety cap that must be reached to achieve this consistently? Besides that im not sure Id attempt that opener in a real situation unless I know for a fact that I wont have to move. Stuff happens and I think id rather save swiftcast for emergency astral, Umbral, enochian refresh. Or maybe I just need to get gud? Lol still would like some blm bis ex advice. Thanks

You're gonna need to be in a party to pull of the opener in Aikaal's guide, and as for Bismarck specifically, it sounds about right what you're doing on Carapace. The swift F4 is not needed, though, if your group has enough DPS to kill it without. That swift might come in handy while dodging bubbles in the next minute. Thunder only reflects on landing hit, but not on the ticks. I'm personally only using F1 on the first set of adds, as they die when you're done with one rotation of that. You can either AoE the three adds or kill them one by one, however your group wants to do it. And lastly, there's a magic spot right where you jump on to Bissy's back where the tornadoes won't reach you, making you only have to worry about bubbles.

That's all I can think of from the top of my head. I only did Bismarck thrice.

Exactly the type of response I was looking for. Thank you. Yea i've noticed with good groups I dont get the swiftcast fire 4 off making my blizzard 4 insta cast, and then bad moments where the fire 4 bring carapace to 10% ehh

My opener is also pretty bad in Bismark Ex. I have also done this fight 3 times in my life to prove how I'm into Bismark Ex. I don't understand this kind of extreme that gives an inferior weapon than the one you can farm from hunts/Laws.

If you want to be efficient for mechanics, you want to save your CDs for Bismark's back but you can open with Enochian.

I'll also update my stuff and mention you need 264 Piety which you should always have in raid unless your group genuiely believe 2 WHM is efficient healing.

Thanks for the replies. It's quite rare that I have to guts to attempt your opener (Im scuurrred). One example would be Faust in A1 as I know I'm not really going anywhere. Yea it is a bummer that Bis ex only drops i175. I'd literally pass on it if I happen to clear it and it drops. And since I'm struggling so much to find the right group to clear Bis, my hopes of getting the Hive weapon are slim to none. Rav Ex looks far more mechanics heavy and I'm sure the DPS check is just as strict (probably worse). Current plan is to save up for the esoteric. Thank you for the guide btw! I was always kinda willy nilly with my CDs but the way you have it detailed out with maximum fire 4's under RS and the pairing of CDs was a major eye opener.
